What is this project about?
Yeltsin Penado uses ARMA 3's Eden editor to create a multitude of fantasy WW2 narratives that blend historical accuracy with an immersive online experience. This game while an online experience is also being turned into an animated WW2 film. This is a fictional story which aims to combine historical accuracy within a video game environment.
Act 1 follows Matthew Baker of the 82nd Airborne Division through the harrowing events of D-Day - Through Operation Market in Holland and into The battle of the Bulge.
Act 2 Follows The Wehrmacht's most feared units in notable battles in Libya, Egypt, France, The Soviet Union, and Germany.
Act 3 follows the Soviet Red Army's struggle against Finland, and battles across Ukraine.
Act 4 is an optional extension which will follow short 1-time session.
WHAT IS THIS?
I am creating a WW2 Film through the use of a video game called ARMA 3. ARMA 3 is a video game designed to simulate warfare. I have curated a selection of community-made modifications which consist of WW2-themed characters, weapons, vehicles and environments. I work to alter these environments to create a fantasy WW2 setting for my film. This will be a WW2 film and Video-game which tells a dynamic story which you can also experience on your own through purchasing ARMA 3 and downloading my files.
I consider this a Video Game and a Film - I use a combination of ARMA 3's suite of editing software and community sourced game modifications. I am using these assets to tell a narrative which draws inspiration from historical events. In this experience/film you experience major WW2 battles through the eyes of fictional characters.
The main goal of this project is to release a Campaign for ARMA 3 - it is currently in open development in which players can provide feedback and help improve the experience. This has an anticipated release date in 2024.

WHAT IS ARMA 3?
ARMA 3 is the premiere Military Simulation experience available on computer. "ARMA 3 sends you to war!" - ARMA 3 is a computer video game which simulates realistic warfare. It allows players to create their own environments, uniforms, weapons and scenarios.
ARMA 3 is a Military Simulation video game. This video game is capable of presenting collaborative (or competitive) online experience. ARMA 3 Eden Editor is a software which allows me to use a form of Key-Frame Animation to produce films alongside interactive experiences.
What is Eden Editor?
ARMA 3's Eden Editor can be used for designing both single player and multiplayer scenarios within this video game. Eden Editor allows players to design their own stories using the native programming language SQF.

WHY WW2?
There are many reasons I decided to choose the WW2 theater in ARMA 3 to create an immersive game play experience. I wish to depict a story which is inspired by battles which actually occurred with an emphasis on historical accuracy. A
ROADMAP
ACT 1: DEATH FROM ABOVE
Context: This story line follows the 82nd Airborne Division.
CHAPTER 1: Orglandes D-Day
D-Day. Due to German flak, the men are dropped indiscriminately throughout the Normandy countryside. Matthew Baker finds himself cut off from his squad. Baker fights through the night with a mixed squad and works to capture Orglandes, France.
CHAPTER 2: Assault on Le Bray D-Day
D-Day: Matthew Baker links up with the rest of his company. The mission is to secure the farm houses near Le Bray and repel German forces from the town of Le Bray. Matthew Baker loses a member of his squad in this attack.
CHAPTER 3: Action at Colleville (D-Day +2) ⭐Golden Unicorn Award 2023
D-Day +2. Matthew Baker splits his team into three fire teams. The teams work together to attack hidden German cannons and supply trucks. The mission is to clear an important roadway held by the enemy. Towards the end of the battle, Matthew witnesses American soldiers execute surrendering Germans.
CHAPTER 4: Hill 30 (In Development)
The 82nd Airborne repels a brutal German counter attack on the outskirts of Carentan. D-Day +6. Heavy fighting ensues on the road to Carentan.
CHAPTER 5: Nijmegen
Following the successful invasion of Normandy. The 82nd Airborne takes place in the invasion of The Netherlands, occupied by German forces. The mission is to capture key routes and bridges to clear the advance towards Arnhem. Matthew Baker leads his squad into the outskirts of Nijmegen...
CHAPTER 6: Hell's Highway (planning phase)
The 82nd Airborne meets heavy resistance while capturing a section of the (nicknamed) Hell's Highway in the Netherlands.
CHAPTER 7: Battle of the Bulge
The 82nd Airborne participate in a brutal battle in close arms near Trois Ponts. This is a fictional battle inspired by Battle of Trois Ponts, Hurtgen Forest, and Bastogne.
CHAPTER 8: Siegfried Line (Proposed)
Matthew Baker crosses into Germany.
ACT 2: THE WEHRMACHT
Context: This story line follows the Wehrmacht - The Wehrmacht are combined arms of the Nazi German Army.
CHAPTER 1: The Battle of Stalingrad ⭐Treasure Award 2023
The Wehrmacht push into Stalingrad and face a determined Soviet force. The mission is to relieve a German salient and attempt to cross the Volga river. This battle is brutal, the Wehrmacht face starvation and it is required that the player loot food and supplies from fallen enemies or abandoned houses.
CHAPTER 2: Operation Bagration 1944 (Ukraine)
Army Group South faces an imminent defeat. Your unit is tasked with holding the highest point in Panovo overlooking a strategic position. The Soviets have been assembling troops and preparing to attack the German lines. Your unit will need to fight mercilessly to repel the Soviet waves of troops - this will allow for the wounded to be moved from Panovo.
CHAPTER 3: Desert Fox - The Fall of Tobruk, Libya 1942
Afrika Korps led by Erwin Rommel assault the town of Tobruk in Libya. Tobruk is heavily defended by commonwealth troops. You will participate in a surprise attack at night - your infantry will be reinforced by Armored Divisions.Capture Tobruk.
CHAPTER 4: Battle of Crete 1941
Experience the intense German airborne assault of Crete. Step into the shoes of the German paratroopers as you engage in a high-stakes battle against Commonwealth defenders. Your mission is crucial, and success depends on achieving key objectives.
