What's your background?

I am from Los Angeles - Raised by two parents from El Salvador. I have been making art my whole life - and my mind has been open to interpreting a layered relationship with other subjects that interest me. I am here to make an impact.

What does your work aim to say?

I let the material speak for itself - A combination of materials, colors and techniques reveal a carefully constructed narrative. My work is educational - I take many approaches to storytelling, and feel that semiotics can tell a visual tale in which we can learn from. I am interested in presenting auditory, written, and visual experiences.

How does your work comment on current social or political issues?

I feel that my work draws inspiration from anonymous and defiant voices within our communities. I can relate my work to experimental forms of communication and mark making through the use of artist materials through the use of historical connotations and the exploration of chemical properties.

Who are your biggest influences?

Charles Bukowski: "If it doesn't come bursting out of you, in spite of everything, don't do it" I am influenced by Bukowski's analysis on what we consider to be 'Normal'. He understood that: what society has created, crushes anything that feels natural.

How do you cultivate a collector base?

I craft art publications that are composed in small and controlled batches. I create affordable written works that are produced for the sake of communication and sharing. I am poised to conducting on-going curatorial projects. Often, collectors of my work become partners which I present in my curatorial projects.

How do you navigate the Art World?

Go big, or go home.

How do you Price work?

I work big and detailed using fringe and experimental materials that are hand-made and can be ephemeral. It's all for sale, at a reasonable price depending on size, materials and effort.

In contrast, I offer free PDF Essays, physical Zines, free lessons documented Youtube, and intend to maintain a sustainable and accessible archive of my work to the public.
